Is JDIM licensed by the State of California?
Yes, we are a fully licensed home-based Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Program. We do not operate as a daycare.
Is my child required to know how to use the toilet independently to be enrolled at JDIM?
Yes, all students are required to know how to utilize the toilet independently. This will enable your child to feel confident and independent while at school!
Does my child need to have up-to-date immunization records to be enrolled at JDIM?
Yes, your child must be up-to-date on all required immunizations. The school must verify this information prior to enrollment. For more information regarding required immunizations in California, please visit www.shotsforschool.org.
Is there an age requirement at JDIM?
Yes, our school accommodates ages 2.8 to 6 years. By combining multi-age groups in one classroom, older children are able to model and hone their leadership skills, while the younger children are motivated to observe and learn from the leadership in the class.
Is JDIM open year-round?
Yes, our school operates year round with the exception of holidays and school breaks.
How do I place my child on the waitlist?
Each family is required to complete the enrollment process prior to being placed on the waitlist. The waitlist will open once a space becomes available. The school will not reserve future enrollment placements. Students will be expected to start school as soon as they’re accepted.
Does JDIM require an Annual Supply Fee?
Yes, a non-refundable Annual Supply Fee of $175.00 will be due at the time of enrollment. This fee will be allocated for classroom supplies for the enrolled student for the year.
How many children are enrolled at JDIM?
There are never more than 12 children enrolled in the school at one time with a 1:6 teacher to student ratio.
Does JDIM provide lunch?
No, the children bring their lunches from home. However, snacks are provided by the school for all children in both the Half-Day and Full-Day Program.
Does JDIM offer after-school care?
No, the school opens at 8:20 am and closes at 3:00 pm five days a week.
